No we do not provide this service. However we have prepared a list of Certified Conservators in Nova Scotia.
Can I use my Nova Scotia Museum pass at your museum?
DesBrisay Museum is not part of of the Nova Scotia Museum family. We are a community museum, owned by the Town of Bridgewater.
DesBrisay Museum manages the Wile Carding Mill on behalf of the Nova Scotia Museum, and the NSM pass is welcomed there.
Can I bring a large group to the Museum?
Guests intending to bring groups larger than 10 people are encouraged to call ahead to ensure the best experience possible.
Groups of 10 or more receive a 50% discount on admission!
Can I bring an item to you for an appraisal?
No, we do not provide appraisal services. However, we have prepared a list of certified appraisers and antique dealers in the area.
Please note that we do not endorse any particular appraiser or dealer, and we suggest you ask about their training and experience.
Is the Museum wheelchair accessible? What other services are offered for visitors with special needs?
DesBrisay Museum is a certified Senior Friendly facility, completely wheelchair accessible. We have a wheelchair and walker available for visitors, and benches are strategically placed throughout the museum for those wanting to rest. Magnifying glasses are available upon request.
Is there a quiet place where I can breastfeed?
We are a breast feeding friendly site! Please ask staff for assistance.
Can I hold an event in the park behind the Museum?
Woodland Gardens is owned by the Town of Bridgewater.

Can I bring my class or club to the museum for a visit?
