DESCRIPTION:Susan was born in Bridgewater\, her father was the first curator of the DesBrisay museum. Her grandfather\, W.T.RITCEY “the man behind the Acadia Gas engine”.  Susan’s work has since been shown around the world. Representing a voice for the oceans and land. This special tribute to Susan will showcase her work and historical family material from her family’s private collection. Susan currently resides at Ridgewood Assisted Living Facility.

It is also a chance to understand just what ‘built heritage’ is and what it can mean for you and\, perhaps\, your property.  \n\n\n\nWe invite all those who have skills and interests that revolve around the renovation\, curation\, and study of our towns historic buildings. Bring along a specialty tool and see if you can stump our committee members as to how it was used! DESCRIPTION:The members of the Mahone Bay Meditation Society will be hosting free meditation classes at the DesBrisay Museum for people of all experience levels. The classes will be hosted every Monday from 7:00 – 8:30 PM.A note about  “Calm Abiding” meditation: \n\n\n\nAre you curious about meditation and its benefits?  \n\n\n\nHave you been wanting to try it but not known how to begin? \n\n\n\nHave you tried to meditate but thought it wasn’t for you or that you were “doing it wrong?” \n\n\n\nDo you want to get back to a practice you may have let lapse? \n\n\n\nAre you looking for a community to learn and practise with? \n\n\n\nLearn to rest and focus your mind and develop an easy daily practice. Calm and center yourself with meditation. Just 10 minutes at a time.
