Our Research Centre provides access to historical and photographic records about our community, with a focus on Bridgewater's history.

Items available in our Research Centre and Archives include:
Bridgewater business records, photographs, postcards, original documents, local architecture, early maps, historic fire and police department records, biographies, community histories, local churches, local schools, family histories, books about Bridgewater and/or written by local authors, and more.

The Research Centre is available for use during museum open hours. Call ahead to book an appointment at 902-543-4033.
The Archive is also available during open hours, but please contact the Museum Administrator before visiting.

For in-person research, there is a $5.00 per day, per person fee for use.

For distance research, there is a fee of $25.00 per hour plus tax, photocopy fees, and shipping costs. Pre-payment is required.

Fees for photocopies and scans are extra.

When using information, documents, or photographs from the DesBrisay Museum, we require that you acknowledge the DesBrisay Museum as your source of any information received from us and that such information cannot be entered into an Internet site, or published in any form, without written permission from the DesBrisay Museum.
