National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The DesBrisay Museum will be CLOSED on Friday, September 30 in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
On Friday, there will be a ceremony of remembrance at 11:00 AM in Pijinuiskaq Park on King Street in Downtown Bridgewater to recognize and honour the day. The event has been organized by Acadia First Nation and members of the local 143 Construction Engineering Flight, with the support of the Town of Bridgewater.
Anyone who chooses to attend is encouraged to wear orange to acknowledge the tragic legacy of residential schools and the importance of truth on the journey to reconciliation.
