By preserving information about each rug and the person who hooked it, the history and traditions of Nova Scotia are preserved as well. All mats must be at least 25 years old...
Renowned local historian Peter Oickle will be hosting another slate of public Historic Walks for the 2025 summer and autumn seasons.
Peter is the greater Bridgewater area's resident historian, an excellent storyteller, and weaves together the intricate pieces of our community's famous and less-famous historic tales and personalities in a captivating way.
Whether you're new to town, a longtime resident, or a visitor in the area, Peter's Historic Walks are sure to entertain and educate!
