This exclusive exhibition pulls back the curtain on the DesBrisay Museum’s private storage to reveal a captivating array of art and photography—some of which has never been displayed to the public. From candid portraits of generations past to hidden artistic gems. This exhibit runs from March 1 -31, 2026.
Join renowned photographer, author, adventurer and historian, Steve Skafte, as he shares about his journey of exploring abandoned cemeteries and buildings across Nova Scotia, pushing through walls of scratching brush, cutting a path to the past, and unearthing buried stones and half-forgotten stories. “High and Dry” is a collection of six images by Charlene Morton, taken in Blue Rocks, Bridgewater, Gold River, Lunenburg, and Voglers Cove. It is an off-season visual gesture to remind us of the beauty of boats, not only on but also off the water.
