Guest Speaker: Author, Steve Skafte
Join renowned photographer, author, and historian, Steve Skafte, as he shares his adventures along abandoned roads, hiking forgotten highways, and exploring the crumbling history that our ancestors left behind. Steve will be discussing his latest book, “This River Was Once a Road: Abandoned Roads of Nova Scotia.”
Crafternoons: Clay Creations
Kid’s Crafternoons are back this August! Come join us this Friday, August 8th, from 3:00-4:30pm to create some Clay Creations!
Parents are welcome to stay and are encouraged to participate!

Art Creation Exhibition
Join us on August 16th 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM for the opening reception of the Kids’ Art Creation Exhibition! This show features artwork created during the summer’s Art Creation workshop hosted by the Town of Bridgewater Recreation staff. The Exhibition runs until September 13, 2025.
Drop-In Art Program hosted by Autism NS & Second Story Women’s Centre
Autism Nova Scotia’s Teen Community Leadership program will be partnering with Second Story Women’s Centre to offer a hands-on art experience run by youths. The program will run alongside the Centre’s Warrior in Me Exhibit, currently on at the DesBrisay.
