Join us at the museum on May 28th and June 25th from 10AM – 11:30AM for Welcoming Wednesdays; an informal, welcoming space where newcomers can meet YREACH staff, connect with others, and enjoy complimentary snacks, tea, and coffee. Everyone is welcome!
Join renowned photographer, author, and historian, Steve Skafte, as he shares his adventures along abandoned roads, hiking forgotten highways, and exploring the crumbling history that our ancestors left behind. Steve will be discussing his latest book, “This River Was Once a Road: Abandoned Roads of Nova Scotia.”
The Lobster Luncheon scheduled for this Saturday at museum and hosted by the Friends of the DesBrisay Museum Society has been postponed due to circumstances beyond the control of the organizing team.
The event will be rebooked for the spring and a new date will be announced in the future.
Second Story Women’s Centre joins with the DesBrisay Museum to invite women and gender-diverse individuals to submit creations around the theme of “The Warrior in Me”. Museum Engagement Coordinator (18-month term)
The Town of Bridgewater and DesBrisay Museum are currently recruiting for a Museum Engagement Coordinator to fill an 18-month term position.
This unique exhibit focuses on honouring, supporting and providing an awareness for the Residential School survivors, their families and the missing children. Show runs from May 18th – June 15th. Join us on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 1- 3 pm for the Opening Ceremony.
